[exim] Exim under Solaris Zones?

A user came into IRC looking for info on running Exim under zones. A
system running fine on a physical solaris box is having a problem
under zones. Exim is apparently leaving a data file with no
complementary header file in the /var/spool/exim/input subdirectory.
There is nothing logged in the main log nor the panic log.

Is anybody currently running Exim under solaris zones? Any tips or
techniques? It kinda sounds like a max open file handle limit being
reached, but that's a complete guess, I have zero experience with
zones.
