I have just committed patches (r1046) that support "proper" case folding for
characters like Greek sigma in the PCRE interpreter. The code was touched in
many places, so I may have broken something (though of course the tests all
pass). JIT support has not yet been updated, but I imagine that Zoltan will do
it in due course.

I do not plan on doing any more than this; in particular I feel that trying to
support characters such as U+00DF LATIN SMALL LETTER SHARP S where one
character can sometimes match two characters is beyond the remit of PCRE.
