Experiment shows that the .TH macro on Linux is compatible. It shows the date
and version in the footer line, but without the words "Last change". I have
therefore updated all the man pages appropriately. I have not removed the
REVISION sections, because, when the man pages are turned into HTML, these are
the only date indications since the footer line is not generated.
