We cannot do anything with 8.21 now, since it was released. I think other
bugfix releases depend on how we progress with 16 bit. I expect a longer
testing duration for 16 bit, since that is quite a major change. If it takes
too long, maybe we need other bugfix releases. However, if everything works
well, we don't need to wait for a long time before the next release.
