Heh, it's just a good example of how there are often many ways to do something.
When interviewing sysadmins, it's often useful to set them questions like this - it can tell you a lot about how they think about certain problems and sometimes about their idiosyncracies (for example, I don't use `command` - I'm of the $(command) school these days).
