Oh dear. Looks like I broke something with change #37. We have just started the
process of integrating the JIT support into PCRE, so there will be another
release fairly soon. I will fix it for that release. I did have a Release
Candidate for 8.13 out for two weeks, and had no negative feedback. Maybe I
should have waited longer, but I get the impression that not too many people
actually try these Release Candidates for real.
