Yes, but it was advertising 8bitmime, so you'd expect it not to complain:

250-xoanon.csi.cam.ac.uk Hello i [193.193.193.107]
250-SIZE 20971520
250-8BITMIME
250-EXPN
250-PIPELINING
250-STARTTLS
250 HELP
mail from:<> size=5000 body=8bitmime
250 OK

Without 8BITMIME advertised, this happens:

250-ppsw-50.csi.cam.ac.uk Hello chip.uscs.susx.ac.uk [139.184.14.86]
250-SIZE 104857600
250-PIPELINING
250 HELP
mail from:<> size=5000 body=8bitmime
501 <> size=5000 body=8bitmime: malformed address: size=5000 body=8bitmime may not follow <>

You get the same result if you provide a return path.
