+1 from me -- all the strangest email problems I've encountered have
been down to a Cisco device deciding to change SMTP traffic as it went
through; and its rare for this to be logged anywhere that the email
people can see (or indeed at all, sadly -- all logs for the organisation
should be collated in the same place, from either a security or a devops
perspective)
