I'd say, it looks like attempts to undo changes and leave the "vi"
editor after accidently opening some configuration file.

Probably you should search your config (for the name of the config file
check the output of "exim -bV") for parts of the above string.

"regular_include_lists" *could* be used in the debianized split config,
but I'm not sure and I do not have a reference system. I'm quite sure
that it's not part of the default config.
