[exim] error with exim conf - Unicode UTF-8 with BOM

FYI, exim 4.74 chokes when there is a Byte Order Marker at the beginning of the exim conf file.

Took me a while to figure out why I kept getting these kinds of errors:


Starting MTA:2011-02-12 20:40:47 Exim configuration error in line 1 of /etc/ecmecm/exim/main.eximconf:
option setting expected: ###################################################################################
Warning! Invalid configuration file for exim. Exiting....failed.
