the following changes have been made for RC2:
* if a non-debug daemon was invoked with a non-whitelisted macro, then
logs from after attempting delivery would be silently lost, including
for successful delivery. This log-loss bug was introduced in 4.73 as
part of the security lockdown.
* DCC incorrect return-code fix, from DCC sub-system maintainer
* minor changes to debug output (report TRUSTED_CONFIG_LIST &
WHITELIST_D_MACROS; fix broken debug API usage from the new loadable
modules code)
In light of the severity of the logging issue, I opted to roll an RC2.
The other changes are sufficiently minor to be "safe" (famous last
words).
The final 4.74 release will happen either on Monday or Tuesday,
depending upon how quickly we get positive feedback from testers of the
RC2 candidate release.
