Yes, you right, eptr[] and eptr += 2 will be more safer.
I compiled with Borland CPP 5.5 (made in 2000 year), and code is not optimal
for modern processors.
But any case, modern processors works with cycles very slow. Intel corp.
recommends convert cycles to plain code as possible.
