the key is just to setup the received header added by Exim for your
users as it has been submitted locally rather than being received over
the network (using the authenticated_id as the local user name and not
adding the remote ip address). note that no prior headers are altered
in any way.

This has also some potential bennefits, i.e. in europe your customer
ip address is considered personal data, so hidding it in the received
headers is giving your customers added privacy protection
