Well, everyone here will tell you Exim is capable of a lot more than
that. I'm assuming you have plenty of bandwidth? Nothing external
throttling you?

Other than that I'd kick those settings up into the thousands.

BTW, Exim has been around for a long time. I think the default setting
are extremely low. Perhaps Exim should have the defaults increased to
something more reasonable? Maybe they should be self tuning if unset?
