This is disturbing news. Exim is widely deployed and an important piece
of software and I find it hard to believe that noone cares enough to step
up (I guess I didn't realise how bad it was before).

I use Exim and although I'm not a C programmer I am happy to help out
in any way I can. I've managed small open source software projects
before and handled release processes, and I'm familiar with version
control systems - and I'm a systems administrator by day.
