fist stop exim, then start the above manually.

you could i.e.
1.
set exim_enable="NO"
in /etc/rc.conf
2.
insert something like
if [ -x /usr/sbin/exim4 ]
then
/usr/sbin/exim4 -bd
/usr/sbin/exim4 -oP /var/run/exim4/eximqr.pid -q5m
fi
into /etc/rc.local
(use your valid pathes!)
