What do you have for input to your search and what do you expect as
result?
Exim basically follows the RFC2255, if I remember well…
${lookup ldap {ldap:///BASE?ATTR?SCOPE?FILTER} }
| '~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RFC2255 ~~~~~~'
|
ldapm -> allows to return multiple entries
ldapdn -> just returns the DN
