It had been routed. Once a mail has been routed, it remembers the
routing.
If memory serves, this is entirely in the hints files and not stored in
the spooled files, so you can just blow away the hints databases after
you change the routing. But I might easily be misremembering this. (I
don't have time to check right now, sorry).
