It depends… Normally the smarthost should not modify the sender address
of the mails passing it. As long as you do not propagate SPF records
with other outgoing IPs than that of your smarthost, everything should
be fine.
And additionally, there is no relation to be assumed between the MX for
your (sub) domain and the server, sending your mails off to the internet
(your smarthost).

You could configure your the dnslookup router (as in the example
config). And, since order matters, you could place a smarthost router
(driver = manualroute) before the dnslookup router, using a "domains =
…" precondition.
