I have made a release candidate for PCRE 8.01, and made it available
here:

The changes in this release are all bug fixes; there is no new
functionality. However, as some of the fixes are to the build system, it
would be helpful if people could try to build this release in a number
of different environments. If all goes well, I'll put out 8.01 in about
a week.
