Here's an example of what I did:

condition = ${if match
{$acl_c_from_namepart}{${sg{${sg{${sg{${readfile{/etc/exim/control/from-regex.txt}{|}}}{\\|+}{|}}}{#.*?\\|}{}}}{\\|\$}{}}}{yes}{no}}

or

regex =
${sg{${sg{${sg{${readfile{/etc/exim/control/spamstorm.txt}{:}}}{\\:+}{:}}}{#.*?\\:}{}}}{\\:\$}{}}
