scripts/Configure-Makefile does not fail if ExtUtils::Embed is not installed. I
have seen this issue on fresh installs of fedora 9+. I'm not sure if it's been
removed from perl core in 5.10 but if so then that's why. Correcting perl
requires yum -y install perl-ExtUtils-Embed.

I suggest scripts/Configure-Makefile have the attached patch to more clearly
show the reason for failure.

Right now, the make continues for quite a while before it fails at which point
you have to scroll up and hope to notice the message indicating the reason for
failure.
