turns out I'm probably confused. I'm getting duplicate insertion
errors from something.. I thought that explained it, but actually, it
later turned out it didn't.

There's something wrong with the implementation, or my implementation
of that implementation ;)

I'll past back when (if) I figure out what it is, assuming it's not
just me being stupid!
