example is missing a colon:

"${if def h_auto-submitted:{present}{absent}}" is "absent" or

should be written as
"${if def:h_auto-submitted:{present}{absent}}" is "absent" or

(found since I needed a personal test without checking $local_part@$domain
clause... ;-))
