Ehm, if my <mail> is down, I have a MX with catchall where I have to
download using fetchmail too. Unfortunately the MX does not the same
spamfiltering and I get many <jfc53@> messages...
I use:
----[ '/etc/fetchmailrc' ]----------------------------------------------
########################### GLOBAL OPTIONS ###########################
set no bouncemail
set postmaster michelle.konzack@???
set invisible
set syslog
########################### SERVER OPTIONS ###########################
poll webmail.example.com
proto imap
timeout 30
qvirtual "some-weird-name-catchall-"
envelope 0 "Delivered-To:"
############################ USER OPTIONS ############################
user some-weird-name-catchall
pass idonotgiveyou
is *
antispam 550
batchlimit 100
fetchall
expunge 10
dropstatus
nokeep
------------------------------------------------------------------------
while "antispam 550" is the error message from the server, if "user
unknown" and fetchmail delete the message and does not try to download
it. I love this feature, exspecialy because I am flooded with PNG spam
currently
The "550" can be a comma seperated list of any MTA return codes
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
