Exim4, actually, is configurated to use smarthost (my ISP) to relay incoming fax to an email address.
I have now some XP clients (internal lan, local static ip address) who need to be able to send and receive mail through my server with Outlook use only one specific mail address.
I read Exim4 can receive mail from a remote host using SMTP over
TCP/IP.
So I don't need to install POP-IMAP programs such as Courier, Fetchmail. Right ?
Can anyone tell me more about this question.

Have you actually tried to set it up as I described yet? Many of the
people on this list would suggest that you should learn how to
configure your mail server to at least a basic level your self if
you're going to be running one on the Internet.

That's seen as bad practice because nobody is notified if a legitimate
message is blocked. If you just reject the incoming message in Exim
then at least the sender will know it didn't arrive.
Accept then bounce - bad
Accept then discard - bad
Reject - good
