Trying to install Apache 2.2.11 in Solaris 10 (10/08), using external PCRE 7.8,
installed in standard directory (/usr/local), creating the error stated above.

configure options:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --with-pcre=/usr/local \
--enable-mods-shared=all --enable-ssl=shared --disable-proxy-ftp \
--disable-dav --disable-dav-fs --disable-dav-lock

returns with error stated above.

have added /usr/local/lib to lib-environment:
crle -u -l /usr/local/lib
outputs: 
Configuration file [version 4]: /var/ld/ld.config  
  Default Library Path (ELF):   /lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib
  Trusted Directories (ELF):    /lib/secure:/usr/lib/secure  (system default)

Command line:
crle -c /var/ld/ld.config -l /lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib
