[exim] Using SMTP auth to remote hosts

Hi

For a given remote mail domain, I would like to have Exim authenticate
against the remote server with a username and password supplied, for
simplicity in this example, in a text file.

Hunting through chapter 33 doesn't appear to give any hints as to how
this might be achieved. Did I miss something in the docs?
