It's been a while since I checked the RFCs so I don't remember the exact
list of allowed characters, but I configured my mail server such that it
would indeed reject that address. I don't like the / characters in your
email address... they are confusing when being used on a filesystem.
I don't think I will be changing that policy any time soon. It's just a bit
too risky should I make any type of other error.
