Hi, i get:

You cannot use newterm() with this Perl interpreter core because it uses
PerlIo for file I/O, and the Curses library doesn't know what to do with
that at ./exitop-0.02 line 466.

This is perl, v5.8.6 built for i686-linux-thread-multi-ld
