Dave,

Thanks so much for the help. Please excuse me as I'm still an Exim newbie.

Exim -bt test@??? returned:

  lowest numbered MX record points to local host: test.neighborology2.com (while routing <test@???>)
test@??? cannot be resolved at this time: lowest numbered MX record points to local host

It should be routed to a local domain. Does that make sense?

No problem. Best to make sure your replies go to the exim-users list though,
so everyone here has the opportunity to help you.

And where should the local domain go? Mail has to end up somewhere; is it
meant to go to a local mbox file, or a local maildir maybe; or is it meant to
be sent via SMTP to another box?

It might be worth trying "exim -d+route -bt
test@???";
if you're not sure how to interpret the output, show us (the list) the
output
of that command, and we'll see what we can do.

Sorry for the carelessness. "neighborology2.com" is the domain and it's correct everywhere.

Hi,

Just trying to get my head around how to do dkim verification. When
doing the ${lookup dkim{}} are you supposed to use the domain from the
From: header? Ie, would this be sane:

deny set acl_m1  ${lookup dkim{${lc:${domain:$h_from:}}}}
      condition   ${if eq{$acl_m1}{bad}}
      message     ?ad DKIM signature

I'm not asking whether or not it is sane to block an email with a bad
signature, I'm asking whether or not that method of looking up the
validity of a signature is correct?

On the example at http://wiki.exim.org/DKIM it says to use "${lookup
dkim{domain.example}}" but doesn't explain what you're supposed to
replace domain.example with.

Mike
