The "problem" is that Exim can be linked against one version of OpenSSL and you
can try and use it with another version of OpenSSL which is not binary
compatible.

There's no direct good solution for this, but I'll file a separate bug to have
Exim report the version of OpenSSL it was built against and the version it's
running with in "exim -bV".

You can fix your situation by recompiling Exim to use the current OpenSSL
library you have.

This is not an Exim bug, merely something that Exim could be more helpful in
diagnosing when you break your production environment.
