Have you reported this to the konqueror maintainers? As I don't run
konqueror I can't reproduce this (firefox does not fault). Also, I don't
recognize 7.4.1 as a PCRE version number. Perhaps it is Ubuntu's version
of PCRE 7.4 (I don't run Ubuntu either). The current version of PCRE is
7.7.

I know this may sound harsh, but I'm afraid that I (and other PCRE
maintainers) can't chase bugs that arise in downstream software. We need
to have a pattern and a data string that can be passed to PCRE directly
in order to check it out. Bugs have certainly been fixed between 7.4 and
7.7, so the first thing might be to install a later version of PCRE.
