Yea, I see where you're coming from Jethro.

Within the company hand book there are a few sentences regarding AUP, I'll
have them re-written and have employees re-sign to the updated policy.

And now to tell the management, they are mis-managing!

How about you suggest the company introduces an acceptable use policy, the
users are advised of this, then breaches can be dealt with through an HR
process? I've never been keen on IT being used as a means of avoiding
proper management - unfortunately some management do tend to think that IT
can "solve" lots of uncomfortable problems they would rather not have the
hassle of dealing with themselves.

Almost certainly, with your suggested scheme, there will be unforseen
exceptions and extensions, eventually to the point where there's no point
imposing restrictions at the MTA at all.
