[exim] synchronous delivery via LMTP

Hi all,

I route mails to local domains to an IMAP server (Archiveopteryx) via
LMTP.
Is there any chance to do this delivery synchronously?
I don't like bounce mails with forged senders (-:

Letting router query backend of IMAP server for recipient addresses
comes into mind.
