In spamd mode it can not delay mails until it is certain if they are
legitimate mails that only look suspicious or if they are the first
mails of a new spam wave. I don't know how much you gain, but I am
satisfied with spamd mode already. Really great software.

No doubt, there are applications where Exim sits behind a gateway or
proxy, although sometimes you can avoid that at little cost, together
with the troubles of having a system in front of Exim. The question is
if XCLIENT is the solution for the cases when you can't avoid it.
