Well .. I kinda wrote my own. Since I have enough custom machines that
upgrading them would be a pain, they check back with a central server
once a day and pick up any new packages I have for them. The package is
a gpg encrypted/signed bash script that downloads the source, configures
it how I like it, makes, installs and reports back to me on its status.

I seem to be addicted to automating everything so finding the easier way
for me generally means programming for a few days to get something done
that would normally take a few hours :P
