From my standpoint, this is still an open request. Some additional
justification:
You are mailing from your home system which resides on a dynamic IP assignment.
You would like to send mail direct-mx, but some MTA's are configured to reject
dynamic IP blocks...
This problem could be resolved if I could handle the 550 as a deferral and
could re-queue the mail to my ISP's smarthost.
This works great for those MTA's which return a soft/deferral 4xx code. I have
a cron job to periodically run the queue but configured for my ISP's smarthost.
