I don't think it holds true for enough domains. I grabbed the last 10
connections from legitimate emails heading into my servers and not one
of them fit this model. The MX servers were located in different subnets
with different rdns than the ones sending the email. The 11th one
matches though!
Of course, if all the email headed to your server works with this model,
then it's something you should be using, but keep in mind that it might
not hold true for everyone. I know mine doesn't match :P
