PCRE 4.5 is ancient. It was released in December 2003. There have been many
subsequent releases. The current release of PCRE is 7.4 (September 2007), and
much has changed since then, in particular, the whole apparatus for building
PCRE is new. Consequently, I'm afraid I won't be looking at this report
further.
