Ah, so that's what you meant in your original posting. Well, the answer is
that macros are substituted in the configuration file (and files ".include"d
into it), and that's it. Other files (e.g. "acl_foo = /path/to/somefile", or
files referenced by lookups, etc) are not subject to macro substitution.
