The problem is that we cannot be as laxist as before with the standards.
Just because it is our last barrier against spam. If big ISPs or
governments begin to block your mail based on the fact you do not follow
RFCs, the companies not following them will rapidly change their
behavior and correct their mistakes. Someone big with good media
coverage has just to begin doing it. (I am just in the process of doing
right this.)
