I was waiting to see if you would pick up on that. :-) I'll have to
check on the number of options bits that are free to see how easy it is
in practice. They are getting scarce; there is a plan for coping, but if
it needs implementing, it will take a little longer. My main priority
this month (after the conference - here in Cambridge - that I'm sort of
attending just at the moment) is to get myself sorted out for when I
retire from my job at the end of the month. But if there is time for
other things, I'll try to get this done too. I really do want PCRE to be
stable for a while after this month.
