[exim] Can't send email

Hi all,

I have a server that has been running flawlessly for over a year using exim 4.60 and all of a sudden we cant send email out though this machine.

I have not changed anything in that configure file, and everything else I have checked as far a file ownerships, modes etc seems to check out fine.

I have run exim in -v mode and it does not tell me anything other than what I see in the OE error messages. Here is what I see there:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'gpeel@???'. Subject 'testing', Account: 'dev1.thenetnow.com', Server: 'dev1.thenetnow.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 Temporary local problem - please try later', Port: 109, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

(I tried port 25 as well ... same message).

I have also tested nslookup and it seems to be retrning domain names and IPs no problem. Nothing I can think of has changed on my two nameservers, which are linged to the mailserver in question via lan local ip net (192.168).

Here is what gets logged on the server when we try to send a mail out:

2007-07-11 13:37:45 H=hpeel.ody.ca (GRANT) [216.240.12.2] F=<gpeel@???> temporarily rejected RCPT <gpeel@???>

Also, mail that is sent via local scripts seems to be working fine. Also, incomming mail from other servers is working fine as well.

What else could I try or look at that might tell me what going on here?
