Subject: [exim] smtp forwarding help...
Someone's added our London mail server, that runs exim,
(mx3.readingroom.com) to the mx records of our australian domain
(readingroom.com.au), whilst we now wait for the dns to propagate and
fix the problem by no longer trying to route mail to mx3 is there a
quick fix I can put in the exim config on the machine to allow it to
accept mail for the aus domain and just bounce it on?

I tried the following but relay is not permitted, pressumably as I
haven't told it anywhere that its allowed to accept mail for this
domain:

in exim4.conf:

# route for AUS
aus_route:
driver = manualroute
transport = remote_smtp
route_list = readingroom.com.au 61.9.200.131

I also tried the same with the last line reading:

route_list = readingroom.com.au smtp.readingroom.com.au bydns

although am assuming this wouldn't make a difference I'm including it
for completeness....

Thanks,

John
