Hello out there,
during sender verification we experience some strange behaviour:
using "NC"
220 trans4mation.de ESMTP
EHLO HELO ssl.schlittermann.de
250-trans4mation.de
250-STARTTLS
250-PIPELINING
250-8BITMIME
250 AUTH LOGIN PLAIN CRAM-MD5
MAIL FROM:<>
250 ok
RCPT TO:<ssl.schlittermann.de-1182787991-testing@???>
550 Die Mail box wde nicht gefunden auf diesem Smtp-Server:
@Hilfe-> admin@???(#5.1.1)
quit
221 trans4mation.de
unsing exims debug mode (via exiacl)
...
>>> callout cache: disabled by no_cache
>>> interface=212.80.235.130 port=25
>>> Connecting to mail.rolfleubeundpartner.de [212.227.85.215]:25 from 212.80.235.130 ... connected

>>> SMTP<< 250 trans4mation.de

>>> SMTP>> RSET
>>> SMTP<< @Hilfe-> admin@???(#5.1.1)
>>> SMTP>> QUIT
>>> ----------- end verify ------------
>>> accept: condition test deferred
>>> require: condition test deferred
Following this dialog our side (exim 4.63) stops any further action and
doesn't check the real sender in question.
Two items I see:
- there's is a German Umlaut in the 550 line.
- The 550 line looks like 2 lines
I'm interested in suggestions / proposals. Imagine that we can't fix the
remote server (because they are qmail people and convinced of doing
everything the right way ...)
(Switching off the 'random' during sender verify is the only solution I
see w/o hacking exim.)
Best regards from Dresden
Viele Grüße aus Dresden
