Subject: [exim] weird local domain name

hi there

I have this weird exim problem when I run a mail test like: "echo test
| mailx -v -s test me@???", the sending address is

root@???

it's like the domain.com part is added twice. update-exim4.conf.conf
did have myserver.domain.com.domain.com as dc_other_hostnames, but I
edited that to myserver.domain.com and reloaded ("invoke-rc.d exim4
reload"), but I still get the same problem ..

athena:/etc/exim4/conf.d/main# echo test | mailx -v -s test me@???
LOG: MAIN
<= root@??? U=root P=local S=373
h

I realise that this might be external to exim, but I was wondering if
anyone had seen anything like this to help me track down the source of
the problem.

Many thanks in advance
