I'm perfectly content with that. I would still like to see how the poll
comes out, though, just out of curiousity.

Well, that's true, but the number of people who regularly respond to
questions on the list is probably closer to 20 or 30. So, technically
speaking, the vast majority of those 1959 subscribers refuse to answer
obfuscated questions, by virtue of the fact that they refuse to answer
any questions. :) I'm no statistician, but I think self-selection is
reasonable for this kind of poll.
