I posted a wishlist item a while ago summarising the need for
overhauling Exim's database query capability - and SQLRelay was
mentioned as one candidate for providing some of the missing
functionality. There's also a specific request for SQLRelay in
Bugzilla. Bugs 326 and 396.
I haven't heard of anyone attempting this yet - I think you may be
breaking new ground.
