Of course, it depends on how reliable you want it to be, and what kind of
support you need with it. Some PC vendors have 30% DOA rates, others as low
as 1%.
Jeremy's point - I suppose - is that you don't need a terribly fast
machine. However, you might rethink that requirement if the 1000 users keep
an awful lot of email on your IMAP server, and keep themselves logged into
it a lot.
